We think terms of use should be readable by the people they bind. These are short on purpose; where detail matters, they link to the fuller policy.
Using our work
You may read, quote, cite, and link to anything on this site freely, with attribution and — online — a link to the original. For republishing pieces in full or translating them, ask us; we say yes to most serious requests. One condition matters more to us than credit: caveats and uncertainty travel with the findings you quote. Full details are in our research integrity & ethics policy.
What our work is — and isn't
Enpath publishes research and analysis for the public interest. It is information, offered with its sources and its uncertainty shown. It is not legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for judgment applied to your specific situation — keeping a person in that seat is, in fact, the entire point of the organization. Decisions you make remain yours.
Accuracy and corrections
We work hard to be right and publish under a strict sourcing discipline — and we will still sometimes be wrong. When we are, we correct in the open under our corrections policy. We provide the site "as is," without warranties of completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.
External links
We link to sources so you can check our work. Linked sites are not ours, and a citation is not an endorsement of everything an organization does or says.
Acceptable use
Don't misrepresent our work as saying what it doesn't, present modified versions as original, imply our endorsement without our agreement, or interfere with the operation of the site. That list is short because we assume good faith — the same assumption we ask of our readers.
Changes
If these terms change, this page changes first, with a new date above — the same rule as our privacy notice.
